CURRICULUM VITAE

Lieutenant General Flávio Luiz de Oliveira Pinto was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has been serving in the Brazilian Air Force for 40 years and specialized in Logistics and Project Management, Institutional Relations, and in the Academia as an instructor at three military schools in Brazil and one abroad. He is Master in Security, Defense and Integration from the Higher Studies Institute for National Defense (IAEDEN), of Venezuela.

He has served as an instructor at the Air Force Officers Advanced Training School (EAOAR) and at the Air Force Command and Staff College (ECEMAR), being responsible for teaching subjects, such as Command and Leadership; International Law of Armed Conflicts; and Use of the Armed Forces in Joint and Combined Operations.

He worked in the area of Air Systems Logistics Management and managed several important projects for his country, such as the Light Transport Aircraft and Strategic Air Tanker and the Modernization of Airborne Sensors for the E-99 Aircraft. He also served as Galeão Air Force Base Commander, being responsible for the logistical and operational support to important national and international events.

As a General Officer, he served as Chief Parliamentary Advising Officer to the Air Force Commander (ASPAER), to conduct relations with the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches, as well as with Organizations that render essential services to the Justice System, aiming to build “institutional bridges”, strengthen relations, and develop an understanding with those entities.

He served as Chief of Cabinet of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces (EMCFA), at which he carries out the tasks relating to the interaction of the Armed Forces with the Ministry of Defense and with other public and private organizations.
