General Luis Rodríguez Bucio is appointed by the President of Mexico as Commander of the National Guard

On April 11, the President of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his Secretary of Security, Alfonso Durazo, presented the Major General (DEM), Luis Rodríguez Bucio, as commander of the National Guard. This is the Federal Police’s newest instrument in charge of crime prevention, preservation of public security and the fight against crime throughout the Mexican Republic.

In the face of this great achievement, the Inter-American Defense Board welcomes such an important appointment and wishes the President of the Council of Delegates of the IADB the greatest success in the face of a transcendental appointment that is undoubtedly a turning point in the field of security in the Western Hemisphere.
