Conference on “Women, Peace and Security

This event will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm hours, through the Zoom Platform and the YouTube Channel of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), and aims to disseminate successful experiences and lessons learned regarding gender mainstreaming in the Armed Forces and Security Forces of the Americas.

In addition, it will address topics on gender mainstreaming in the Defense and Security domain, particularly in peace operations, military and security operations, education, recruitment and development of military women, among others. Highly valuable experiences that will be presented to participants in order to increase their professional knowledge on these issues that represent a challenge for both decision-makers and operational personnel (tactical and operational level).

– Military Schools or Training Organizations.

– Police Schools or Training Organizations

– Government Institutions

– Operational Military Units.

– Personnel of operational units (Tactical and Operational Level).

There will be speakers with extensive experience on the subject from all over the hemisphere, as well as translators for English, Portuguese and Spanish.

NOTE: PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE FROM IADB.
