IADB held a webnar on Processes for the Management and Destruction of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives

The Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) held the webnar on Processes for the Management and Destruction of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives on December 10, 2020.

The purpose of the event was to transmit knowledge about the international management processes and regulations in force for the destruction of: conventional light weapons that have been disused or became out of date, seized illegal weapons, or homemade weapons. Similarly, for ammunition and explosive materials of legal origin that are out of date, or of illegal origin. In addition to illegal arms trafficking.

The webnar was attended by more than 810 participants from different countries in the Americas and two European countries – England and Switzerland.
