Training

In order to ensure the success and safety of the demining program, personnel must receive high quality training according to the specific task they are to fulfill. The Chiefs of MARMINCA and MARMINAS is responsible for programming and managing the training of international supervisors, leaders of recipient country demining units, and individual sappers. An important task is to uphold a high standard of this training. In order to complement MARMINCA’s capability the IADB Staff Director, through the IADB Staff, coordinates the provision of training support from the Armed Forces of contributing countries. Demining training requires many resources, including instructors, training areas and facilities, training equipment and aids, transportation, fuel and training and logistics manuals.
