77th Anniversary of the Inter-American Defense Board

The Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) is proud of its commemoration of the 77th anniversary since its creation, today, March 26, 2019 at the Casa do Soldado. This event counted with the distinguished presence of the Chair of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS), Ambassador Carlos Alberto Calles, as well as the Leadership of this Board, composed of Major-General Luis Rodríguez Bucio (President of the Council of Delegates), Major-General James Taylor (Director of the Inter-American Defense College), Colonel Darren D. Lynn , Director of the Subsecretariat of Advisory Services (SSA), representing the Director General of the Secretariat and General Carlos Humberto Castañeda Nassi (Vice-Chairman of the Council of Delegates).

During the celebratory activities also were present Permanent Representatives to the OAS, Ambassadors to the United States, Ministers, previous Leadership Members, Delegates and Observers to the IADB, General Leaders, authorities and important personalities linked to this OAS entity, highlighting the announcement of the reincorporation of Ecuador as part of the Council of Delegates of the IADB, through the work of the Ministry of Defense of that country.
